Our History
Buckhead Animal Clinic was established in the early 1950's. Originally the Clinic was located at 505 Lindbergh Drive. In 1981, the development of Marta forced a move to our current location on Piedmont Circle.
In over 50 years of business, Buckhead Animal Clinic has had three owners: Dr. Charles Rife, who founded the clinic; Dr. William V. Smith; and partners, Dr. David A. Forehand and Dr. Martin G. Stotelmyer.
Dr. Stotelmyer moved to Atlanta in August of 1974 to begin working at Buckhead Animal Clinic. In January of 1977, Dr. Forehand joined the practice. In 1981, Drs. Forehand and Stotelmyer became partial owners of the Clinic, and by 1984, they were equal partners. The pair remained business partners until Dr. Forehand's death in February 2004 and presently, Dr. Stotelmyer is the sole owner of Buckhead Animal Clinic.
